Yes, for anything heavy or fragile: crockery, books, ornaments. Clothes can stay in a chest of drawers if the unit can be carried full. We confirm this when we quote, piece by piece if needed.
The permit is requested from the local council, usually one to three weeks in advance depending on the town. Tell us where the van needs to park at both addresses: we explain the procedure and how far we would have to carry your belongings if no space is granted.
Large appliances, safes and solid furniture are part of our daily work. Mention them in your quote request, along with the floor they are on: they determine the crew and the lifting equipment, and therefore the price. An upright or grand piano requires our prior agreement.
A studio or one-bedroom flat is usually done in half a day, a family flat in a day. Floors without a lift and the carrying distance affect the timing far more than the number of kilometres between the two addresses.
